Went to watch Money No Enough 2 yesterday night with the BoBs, Yi Liang and Andrew at Yishun Golden Village. First half of the show was DAMN BLOODY funny, being serious here..first time I have ever laughed watching a local movie especially one done by Jack Neo. The second half where they started going having trouble with their lives was quite sad, but I thought it was too exaggerated. I mean how can 1 family experience so much misfortune in such a short period of time? First Mark Lee had his bee pollen vitamins contain some chemicals and has the Singapore Health Authority close down his business, next thing his wife embezzles money to help him pay up the loan sharks and ends up in jail. Then Jack Neo, who was dabbling with property, investing in land and stocks, if what I read on the subtitles was right, his stock broker ran away with $450k of his money, and not even 10 seconds later, he received another call saying the clients who wanted to buy his land for $2 Million had stopped negotiations and canceled the deal. So in about 5 minutes of this scene, he lost a total of $2.45 Million...amazing! Soon after they were all in debt or bankrupt, their mother went senile, although for this part of the movie, I felt quite sympathetic towards the mother. The saddest scene was when they showed the grandmother crying at the gate of the Old Folks Home and Rayson Tan just dropped her off and literally ran from her. She was so distraught she collapsed and had a stroke. Next thing she was in the hospital in critical condition needed blood transfusion and the hospital's blood bank had run out of her type and only Jack Neo and his wife had to same blood type as her but the couldn't donate because he had liver problem and his wife was anaemic. What made the situation more dramatic...Jack Neo's daughter in the movie had a fatal car accident on the same night and also needed blood transfusion. And COINCIDENTLY, she had the same blood type as the Jack's mother. So there started the massive fight for the last packet of blood left in the whole hospital, and just at this point in time, the mother woke up from her deep sleep to see her children quarreling over who should be saved. She used her last bit of strength and pulled the plug on herself committing suicide. Yi Liang and Andrew were crying buckets of tears when this part was going on, I was just there looking around and found almost everyone around with tissues in their hands or wiping their tears on their sleeves and I thought to myself...I must be one heartless bastard to have not shed a single tear. But what the heck...it's just a movie. And yea...I still don't think a single family can experience so much misfortune over such a short time span. Anyway...Andrew came over my place to stay..played command and conquer kane's wrath till 4am then we went to sleep. Woke up at around 2 today, went to the bank to activate my frozen account so I'll have a bit more money to spend besides the pathetic allowance I got this month. Went to cut my hair as well...damn bloody short...I look like a kid with an army man's hairstyle...hahaha...but I've wanted something short for some time already. Tomorrow I'm playing tennis with "Wednesday"...basket..said he's gonna laugh at my hair tomorrow when he sees it. Okay I'm tired of writing already...that's all for today...
