Hark! The herald angels sing...Glory to the new-born King! Yes...it's Christmas Day everybody and just a few days away as well from the New Year. Celebrations I had were on Christmas Eve, much less nothing to do today I believe. A feast for dinner, with dishes cooked by everyone. Shepherd's pie was great, so were the sausages and chicken marinate. Just as everyone was stuffed after dinner, dessert proved to be a winner. Häagen-Dazs ice cream with brownies along with wine and beer that made Daniel tipsy he almost slept like a dear. Around the couch we sit, watching "Love Actually" we did. Waiting for the clock to strike 12 and once it did we all wished and hugged each other saying MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! First to open her gifts as usual, Cindy, my eldest sister was eager to see what she got. Michele went next then me followed by the other "boys". I got 2 watches, one antique and the other a swatch, a new tennis outfit and some tees my sis bought. So we posed around the Christmas Tree made of lights, flashing every present we had in sight. Presents I loved but not as much as the mood of family gathering, that's all I need. Picture will be posted another day to show how fantastic is was yesterday!Went for mass at 10 today, should've recorded what the brother had to say. The spirit of giving is about sacrifice he pointed out. Jesus was born in a slump, God wanted the poor and sick to know he has come. Comtemplated about his sermon I did yet when I reached home I forgot all about it. Celebrated my mom's birthday in the afternoon with a cake made of brandy and rum. Again we all sat to watch some TV, so boring the shows that we fell asleep so easily. Woke up at 11pm and here I am, my it's Boxing Day already! This festive season I've loved, I've laughed and cried. I've had my fill, my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think if I had the chance. And may I say...not in a shy way that I...Je vous ai donné mon coeur inutile et je veux être avec vous si mauvais...sigh |
